wow...it has been a hell of a last couple months. time has been going by very very fast. i am extremely busy with work which is great, but i am getting a little burnt out.
i get to go on vacay to see my brother in portland. i have never been there, so i am pretty pumped. i have heard it is a really cool place.
social life gets weird after school. i guess i am realizing now just how much of my time during school was spent developing a social life. it is pretty lame to tell you the truth. it was definitely more fun, but i found that most of my sense of well being was determined by other people. i had very little identity. I guess that now it is different because i am gaining a lot of identity through my work...but the only people i have to share that with are the people i work with, which is also kind of weird.
anyway, i hope all is well with everyone :)

hey lj...havent seen you in a while.
things are pretty good right now. My psyche feels like i should be going off for summer vacation (aka summer job aka big shift in daily life). instead i am entering month 6 of working a job at a desk...
i say it spitefully, which isn't really fair, because this was what i wanted. and i enjoy it. I guess i am just kind of adjusting to a stable and stagnant lifestyle. it's pretty tough for a 23 yr old dog.
new justice music is way sweet.
the spurs are gonna win the nba championship..i hope lebron can beat the pistons...i am a big fan of lebron.
sometimes (ususally around the birthday) i think about the last year and how productive/fun/etc it was. this has been a pretty eventful year. mostly just had to grow up and become a productive member of society. at the same time, the college years were such a period of rapid change. and now, maybe i am smoothing it out a little bit. i don't see any big identity crises looming on the horizon, so that is comforting and a little boring at the same time!!
anyway, i am sick of journaling for now.

hi spring...you feel nice.
1. i moved into my own place. probably one of the best feelings ever...i was a bit surprised when i came to the realization that i have never lived alone...If i had known it was this sweet, i would have made it happen long before now.
2. work is amazing. The biggest difference from school life is that every day i am proactively becoming better at what i do. School, i would just go to class...do some irrelevant bullshit and then go have fun. i will say this is a much more lonely lifestyle, but mostly because i dont need people to fill the gaps in fullfillment that school leaves.
3. tonight we are going out in dallas for a friend's bday...everyone should come.
4. tomorrow...60's dance party in dallas...come!

As of midnight it is my last day of college.
this is probably one of the weirdest coolest feelings ever. it is hard to believe that i have actually accomplished something. All other accomplishments thusfar have paled in comparison. high school is cool to get out of because you get to go do your own thing and you think "i dont even have to give a fuck about the man anymore" but you still havent done anything.
now, to get off my pedestal, i still haven't really done anything. except learn a couple bogus out-of-date concepts and learn to pass tests. passing tests never saved the world. neither did writing papers. mostly, i always had a pretty sound illusion of doing work when really i was just with friends constantly studying, partying, working, sleeping, partying, sleeping, studying, working, partying. and now, four and half years of more fun than i thought possible, this chapter is done. i am ready, but that doesn't really matter. if i wasn't ready, it would still be over. after saturday, there is nothing that can bring all this back but, of course, there is nothing else that would bring what the future holds.

i am in the middle of a 15 page paper right now...if anyone likes studying and writing and shit for ridiculous school assignments, be sure and let me know.
ONLY 13 DAYS UNTIL GRADUATION!!! holyshitholyshitholyshit i love this.
thursday is peaches...everyone should go..i am gonna get as wasted as i can i think. maybe she will show her bush as i have heard she likes to.
GO COWBOYS!!! i am all of the sudden a football fan again. partially jj's fault. partially romo's fault. 100% sweet.
ok, one quick list:
1) what do you think the teacher would take off if i had a 15 page paper and i only wrote 8 or 9?
2) my boss at work called me an "anomaly" and says he wants me to start managing my own projects within the first year. this means i am at least 2 years ahead of the curve...WOOT!!
3) dec 9 is graduation, dec 16 is christmas party at work, dec 22 is christmas weekend, dec 29 ill be in brazil for new years...check on me and my liver in january.

yo hoes, i am riding dirty in an smu building.
1) in this class we need to work on a project and we had to propose ideas today...apparently i am the most creative person in the class because my project won big time. we had to draw from a hat to decide on the groupe! my invention = The Flavor Saver. you put your food in there and it records a flavor profile with its "flavor sensors" and then when you want to cook again you can compair the current food to another recipe or you can reproduce old recipes or reproduce someone elses recipes. not to mention it is fucking cool. i am president and CEO of my group...how appropriate
2) school is silly, i am happy though because i get to take ping pong AND a class called "the scientific method: debunking pseudoscience"...the name alone makes me freak out.
3) moving on, i am kind of overloaded this semester and i feel like i really might let my grades slip...does it matter? no. do i care? kind of. i have this whole pride thing about getting good grades. i feel like if i get really really good grades, it is my way of beating the teacher at that class...which kind of makes me feel really good...do i have a problem?

i just moved over by school and it is super chill
i think i have the biggest crush of my life. haha! yay!! i cant talk about it on the internet though.
i have a 2nd job interview on wednesday. which sounds real tyte. it is a company that does everything in my field. and i could get in early and help build the company from really small (2 engineers now) to something much bigger. fast track to bein the boss. i like the sound of that. i am also gonna get a drink with my engineering yoda this weekend, then maybe he can give me a little direction. how exciting.

this summer is going to be righteous. i have found, however that schedules are clashing.
noone i know has a regular job...everyone is either unemployed or employed by someone who doesnt make them come to work early, etc. So sometimes, i just get tired. and they usually arent in fun mode until i am in comatose mode. such is life.

I went to see ISLANDS last night and it was so fucking sweet. kat brought shots to the band in the middle of the show so we all got to dance on stage for the WHOLE show!!
and i got this super rad t-shirt (which is american apparel btw) and it just has a comic with dogs on it. and we did a conga line with the horn player. hot dog (katy brideau 2006) that was fresh.
anyway, now i am at school. and real sick. and about to take a nap.
